As of 18 May 2019, Kenya has over 100 educators around the country who have achieved a certificate in Teaching Entrepreneurial Mindsets.

High school educators from across Kenya recently travelled to Nairboi, Nakuru, and Mombasa to take part in a training course run by the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge Kenya (#AGEC19_KE).

The one-day intensive course focused on the fundamentals of developing entrepreneurial mindsets in high school learners and was open to all curious and passionate teachers in Kenya.

Educators who attended the training took part in a series of highly interactive presentations, group discussions, and reflective exercises culminating in an assessment on Teaching Entrepreneurial Mindsets.

Group discussions guided participants to identifying and collaboratively addressing the challenges which may arise in teaching mindsets. Educators were also introduced to the #AGEC19_KE platform, exploring how best to launch and run #AGEC19_KE as a vehicle for entrepreneurial mindset development in their respective schools.

The Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge Kenya 2019 launches on 22 May 2019, with onboarding challenges becoming available on 6 May 2019. Registration is open to all high schools and high school learners in Kenya.

The #AGEC19_KE Team would like to thank all those who attended a training course for their commitment to preparing learners for an uncertain future. It is encouraging to see such energy and enthusiasm from educators as we collectively work to advance the Big 4 agenda and equip learners for success in the job markets of the future.

Pre-Registration for the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge Kenya 2019 closes on 5 May 2019, with onboarding challenges going live on 6 May 2019.
