Our vision is an empowered, prosperous, productively engaged African citizenry thriving in ethical societies with dignity and hope. AGGP utilizes a long-term strategy in developing exceptional value-driven, high-impact responsible entrepreneurs for job creation and poverty alleviation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">One of AGGP\u2019s programs in Kenya is the <\/span><b>Wavumbuzi Entrepreneurship Challenge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\"> &#8211; a free six-week online entrepreneurship challenge designed to nurture and develop entrepreneurial aspirations in secondary\/High school Learners. You can read more about Wavumbuzi, here: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wavumbuzi.africa\/kenya\/\"><b>https:\/\/wavumbuzi.africa\/kenya\/<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>SCOPE OF WORK\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">We seek the services of individuals known as <\/span><b>Wavumbuzi Ambassadors<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\"> \u2013 who are passionate about entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, teachers&#8217; and learners&#8217; capacity enhancement, and support for the Wavumbuzi program residing in the following 8 regions i.e Western, Eastern, Nyanza, Coast, North Eastern, Nairobi, Central, and Rift Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">The key tasks are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Act as the face of the Wavumbuzi Program in the designated regions and assigned schools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Support schools in the allocated region to successfully undertake the community service learning activity during Term 1.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Support schools with computers and internet connectivity to register for the online Wavumbuzi Entrepreneurship Challenge scheduled for Term 2.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Mobilize and encourage teachers in the respective regions to attend teacher training and teacher onboarding sessions to understand the registration and onboarding process of both schools and learners.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Ensure that all the teachers in one\u2019s region are fully onboarded, registered and added to the respective WhatsApp groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Facilitate group and one-on-one training sessions with Teachers, particularly with onboarding onto the challenge platform, or any other Wavumbuzi intervention program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Motivate, inspire, and onboard at least 6,000 Learners from the assigned Regions to register and actively participate in the challenge.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Ensure all registered Learners are actively engaged i.e. complete the Training Centre\/ Introductory Quest and at least two other Quests.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Ensure all registered Learners willingly complete the pre and post-surveys and any other survey given during the challenge.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Maintain professionalism at all times and excellent communication with all challenge participants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Work closely with relevant Wavumbuzi partners in your region to support schools while ensuring Learners actively engage in the Challenge as per weekly performance data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Provide support to the Teachers and communicate effectively while solving any challenges faced by the teachers and learners within the platform.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Effectively solve, communicate, or follow up on any issues raised in one\u2019s assigned Region(s) and ensure all issues are resolved speedily.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Visit selected and assigned schools during the Challenge period to motivate Learners to attempt all the challenges in the Challenge World.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Participate in school visits to congratulate active Principals, Teachers, and Learners as well as distribute any merchandise and awards to the winning schools and learners.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Take part in the moderation process and ensure that all weekly moderations due and as assigned by the School Liaison are completed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Track and accurately capture all key outcomes onto the reporting platform i.e. the Ambassador reporting tool shared by the School Liaison.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Provide daily updates and weekly work plans with reports to the School Liaison.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Provide post-challenge feedback to help improve future editions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Any other tasks or responsibilities that may be reasonably expected.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>DURATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contract will be valid for four and a half months starting on <strong>1st March 2024 and ending on 15th July 2024<\/strong>. Your full scope of work is outlined under the deliverables clause and will be decided weekly depending on the project needs and the demand in your respective locations assigned to you by the Wavumbuzi School Liaison. The agreed monthly rate is a remuneration of<\/span> <b>KES 20,000.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\"> This will be paid at the end of every month upon receipt of your completed summary of weekly reports submitted to, and reviewed by, the Wavumbuzi School Liaison and approved by the Program Manager. In addition, you will receive a monthly communication allowance of <\/span><b>KES 1,500<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">The successful candidates must be willing to operate from various counties, travel regionally, and work irregular hours from time to time, including weekends. All reasonable expenses will be covered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PAYMENT\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">The payment will be pegged on the performance of the respective ambassador based on the assigned and expected tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Payments will be made at the end of every month for the complete month\u2019s work verified by the School Liaison against the reported activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 500;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">All reimbursements are subject to prior verification by the Program Manager and further approved by the\u00a0 Country Lead.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>TRAINING\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Successful applicants will undergo virtual onboarding and training sessions before they start the actual work.
