Introducing you to your go-to #WavumbuziRW ambassador

We’ve got a number of fantastic individuals that have been appointed as Wavumbuzi ambassadors for different districts in Rwanda. As a teacher and a parent, you’ll have a designated ambassador for your district who will be there to support and guide you through every step of the process and to make sure that you’re getting the absolute best you possibly can out of #WavumbuziRW

We’ve highlighted some of the key areas that your Wavumbuzi ambassador will be able to assist you with below:

FOR TEACHERS: 

  • The registration process 
  • Getting comfortable with the Teacher Portal 
  • Signing up your learners 
  • Understanding the lesson guides and assisting with any content issues 
  • Understanding the leaderboard and how your learners are performing in the challenge
  • Motivating and encouraging your learners 
  • Tips on getting the best out of the challenge 
  • Referral opportunities and motivating other teachers to get involved

FOR PARENTS: 

  • Providing an overview of the challenge, why it’s important, and providing ongoing support and motivation to complete weekly challenges. 
  • Understanding the lesson guides and assisting with any content issues 
  • Learner support, guidance and queries  
  • Tips to get learners more engaged 
  • How a parent can support a child as much as possible 

You can connect with the Wavumbuzi ambassador in your region through various channels such as email, direct WhatsApp messages or join a teacher WhatsApp group within your region which they’ll be managing.

Diane Mukashema

“Learners are going to become more explorative which will in turn positively affect their decision-making capacity”

Having previously worked as a youth leader with Educate Rwanda, Diane has a passion for working with the youth and uses any possible means to empower them to be job creators and utilize available opportunities to change their communities.

Guillaume Rurangwa

“With #WavumbuziRW, I can see the change we need, I can see businesses and jobs being created! Rwanda it is time for greatness.”

Guillaume manages his own company, Halfie’s Ltd, which he uses to guide and assist the youth so that they may be aware of how important it is to create their own jobs. He hopes to impact society positively through entrepreneurship.

Domine Uwamariya

Domine completed her education studies at the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) and has currently dedicated all her efforts to the success of #WavumbuziRW and empowering young people.

Francois Twayigize

Francoise is an engineer by profession, has a strong sense of determination and commitment and has a wide network of youth whom he hopes to inspire.

Jerome Umuhire

“Learners dreams can come true if they are involved in Wavumbuzi Rwanda challenge.”

Jerome has a deep and highly enriched experience as a teacher and has worked in various schools in the Southern province. For many years he managed the teacher network through Educate Rwanda in his home district of Huye.

Yvette Nkurunziza

“Standby to harness student’s potential in Entrepreneurship, thus boosting their life skills.” 

Yvette is a medical student at the University of Rwanda who volunteers in promoting entrepreneurial ventures that would help in uplifting the economic status of disadvantaged families.

Julius Nzaramba

“The Wavumbuzi Program offers the mechanisms to solve challenges across a number of sectors our communities on the African continent face to-date.”

Julius studied global economics and management, and minor international business administration at Jacobs University in Germany. A determined individual currently focusing his efforts towards the success of #WavumbuziRW and empowering young people.

Nancy Kayitare

“Looking forward to the positive impact Wavumbuzi will bring to Rwandan youths. I believe it will help them to better shape their future and be more entrepreneurial-minded at a young age.”

Nancy is a dedicated individual who has devoted herself to promote entrepreneurship in her community, in spite of having other managerial responsibilities of her family hotel business in Muhanga district.
